POONCH JULY-08: National Lok Adalat, held under the aegis of District
Legal Services Authority (DLSA) today amicably settled nearly 553 different
types of pending and pre-litigation cases across the district and brought
relief to ordinary litigants. Revenue amounting to Rs 5277542 was realized in
the said Lok Adalat.
Four benches were constituted at District Court Complex assisted by senior
officer from district administration and departments to take up piled up cases as well
as cases in pre-litigation stages.
The cases settled in the National Lok Adalat included family disputes,
motor accident claims, bank recoveries, petty criminal matters, land disputes ,
telephone, water and electricity bills, other revenue matters and forest cases.
“Speedy
justice is fundamental right of a litigant and National Lok Adalat will greatly
help in strengthening his faith in Judicial System”,
Principal District and Sessions Judge (Chairperson DLSA), Tahir Khursheed Raina
said while speaking at the inaugural ceremony attended by Chief Judicial
Magistrate, Syed Sarfaraz Hussain Shah, Special Mobile Magistrate, Ahsan
Malik, Munsif Mobile Magistrate & Secretary DLSA), Wajahat
Hussain Kazmi, President Bar Association Poonch, Seyed Taj Hussain Shah,
Secretary Bar Association Poonch, Prof.Musarf .H. Shah, K.K.Kapoor among senior
citizen,Iftikhar Bazmi, district officers and prominent citizens.
