PULWAMA, JULY 06: In order to address the issues related to functioning of various private
coaching centres operating in the district, a meeting was held today under the
chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Pulwama here today.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Chief Education Officer Pulwama,
Principal Government Girls Higher Secondary School and Heads of Different
private coaching centres.
After threadbare discussions several decisions were taken in the
meeting which include installation of CCTV cameras, details of the faculty,
regulation of rolls, registration of coaching centres, provisions of separate
washroom facilities for male and female students, details of fee charged from
each student and the criteria adopted for the purpose, marking of attendance of
students, regular parent teacher meets to evaluate the progress of the
students.
While addressing the meeting, the DDC highlighted the importance of quality
education, carrier counseling and role of coaching centres in preparing
the students for various state and national level competitive exams.
He urged upon the management of coaching centres to hire only
trained faculty to impart quality teaching to the students and ensure amicable
academic atmosphere at the tuition centres.
