Jammu , September 13 : In order to place laurel wreaths on the brows of its brilliant bairns and to further fillip the infants to continue appending more feathers to their caps, St. Mary's Infant Convent School (SMICS) organized a splendid prize distribution ceremony in the school premises. The event was marked by bounteous moments of amour propre for a drove of lively lilliputians who were put on a pedestal for accomplishments galore in both scholastic as well as co-scholastic arenas.
The event was graced by the valued presence of Rev. Fr. Joshy Mathew, Parish Priest of St. Mary's Cathedral, Jammu Cantt, who was the Chief Guest of the occasion. Mrs. Anna Mary, Chairperson of the school, accorded a warm welcome to the Chief Guest which was followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by their gracious hands.
Soon after the curtains were raised on the portentous occasion, tiny tots laced the baroque event with their soulful performances in the moulds of animated action songs, silver-toned poems and remarkable role plays. Thereafter, the stage was set for lionizing the triumphs of wondrous kids.
Estimable students from Nursery to UKG class received commendations from the special vedettes for their peerless performances in multitudes of curricular and co-curricular activities, amidst a thundering applause from proud parents forming the august gathering for the notable event.
Speaking on the occasion, Rev. Fr. Joshy Mathew gave a cornucopia of eulogiums to students for their stellar performances and plenteous plaudits to the school for organizing a plethora of activities from time to time to ensure holistic growth and development of the students.
Chairperson, Mrs. Anna Mary honoured Rev. Fr. Mathew and expressed gratitude towards him for his benign presence. She also gave palms to the wunderkinds for their prodigious display of hard work and talent throughout all the seasons of the year and impelled students to stay hors concours.
Addressing the gathering, Mrs. Sheetal Anthony, Principal of the school, rhapsodized over the nonpareil contribution of the parents and the staff members in making formidable students carry the day.
The victors continued to shine like jewels in the crown and with bigger dreams of whopping victories even in the near future, twinkling in the eyes of the infants, the sterling programme of singing paeans to achievers pleasantly drew to a close.
