Kolkata, Sep 19 : The Jago Bangla Festival Edition for 2017 is going to be released by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee at a grand function at Nazrul Mancha here today. A host of luminaries from various fields are expected to grace the occasion as well. The cover page of the festive edition has been designed by Ms Banerjee herself. The book starts with a preface by her, and features both fictional and non-fictional writing by some of the best writers and experts in various fields. There are special features, including analyses, on the internationally-acclaimed Kanyashree Scheme, the social schemes initiated by the Chief Minister, the return to fortune for the muslin trade and the weavers, the folk songs of Bengal and the FIFA Under-17 World Cup.
