Poonch October 21: Deputy Commissioner, Poonch, Tariq Ahmad Zargar today conducted   extensive tour of Surnkote subdivision and took stock of progress on various ongoing projects.
During the tour, the DDC inspected progress on upcoming government Degree College building at Surnkote   and     directed the concerned engineers to expedite the work to ensure its timely completion. It was informed that construction work on the building is in full swing and will be completed soon. He   directed the executing agency to remove bottlenecks, if any, to expedite the pace of work and complete the building in all respect by next session. 
Later, the DDC visited village Sangla  to listen to the public issues. The local People and those from adjoining areas apprised him about various problems including scarcity of drinking water, power, enrollment for Aadhaar cards. They also demanded early resumption of work on Dhandi-Daraha road.
The DC gave a patient hearing and passed directions to concerned agencies for resolving the issues in a time bound manner.
Regarding Dhandi Dhara road, he directed revenue authorities & executing agency to synergize their efforts to remove bottlenecks for early start of held up   work.
