JAMMU, JANUARY 18: The Minister for Forests, Mr Lal
Singh today informed the House that government has no proposal to open new
timber sale depots as the existing network of outlets is sufficient to meet the
supply demand.
The Minister was replying to a
question by Mr. Bashir Ahmad Dar asking whether the government intends to open
more sale depots to meet the demand of the people at their door steps.
Mr. Ali Mohammad Sagar, Mr. Mubarak Gul, Mr Vaqar Rasool, Mr Raja Manzoor and Dr K L Bhagat raised supplementary questions
to the main question.
