New Delhi, Feb 8: A 22-year-old motorcyclist died after his neck was stuck in a wire that was tied between two Police barricades which were placed on the road in Netaji Subhash Place here.
A Delhi Police official said the incident happened late last night. The SHO of the Subhash Place Police Station has been sent to police lines and a sub-inspector, one head constable and two constable have been suspended.
The police had put four barricades on the road in the Netaji Subhash Place area at night, two of which had a wire between them so that both could be connected. The biker was stuck in between these wire and died.
The Police said the deceased has been identified as Abhishek (22). He was the driver of Ola cabs.
Due to darkness on the road, his neck got stuck in the wire. There were no policemen at that barricade due to which he died.
Further investigation is going on, police said. UNI
