Kohima, Apr 07: Nagaland Deputy Chief Minister and Minister in charge for Home and National Highways Yanthungo Patton has appealed to the landowners to ‘freely donate land’ with an assurance to the citizens of Wokha to give his best efforts to developing the state, specially for the roads.
According to an official press release, speaking at the thanksgiving programme hosted by him at his residential complex at NST colony in Wokha town yesterday, Patton said that the road development objectives is not only confined with particular area, but will carry out across the state. He stated that at present almost all the roads in Nagaland are in deplorable condition. 
He urged the public of Nagaland “not to hamper the governmental road construction, other developmental activities in the name of landownership” and added that “any developmental activities are for the societies and the citizen.”
Patton has also shared that he choose to contest during the last general election from the BJP party “to voice out, protect and support the Christian minorities as atrocities committed against the Christians minorities in the country by the some by vested-interest groups by taking the names of the political parties like BJP.” 
He urged the Naga Christian believers not to misquoted BJP party as the anti-Christian party and further clarified that “unlike any other political party BJP party is purely a political party and Party has nothing to do with religion, but the party promotes secularism.”
The deputy CM also asked for “forgiveness from the opponent political parties if there was hurt against each other” and urged his supporters to do the same. 
Further, he dedicated his victory to god, and acknowledged the support from central BJP party leaders, all the party rank and files, state and district BJP leaders and supporters, the release said. UNI
