Raipur Dec 16 : Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee President Bhupesh Baghel will be the new Chief Minister of the state. 

Chhattisgarh Supervisor Mallikarjun Kharge of All India Congress Committee told that in the press conference here today, MLA from Patan area and the state Congress Committee president Bhupesh Baghel has elected its leader as its leader. Baghel will be the new Chief Minister of the state. 

The Congress has won a big victory in the state assembly elections. Since then, speculations were being made about the new Chief Minister in the state.After the long meetings, Bhupesh Baghel was finally elected the Chief Minister.

Senior Congress leaders said that AICC Chhattisgarh secretary Chandan Yadav and Arun Uram, state Congress chief Bhupesh Baghel, former Union minister Charandas Mahant Congress and Lok Sabha member of Durg Tamarhdhuj Sahu reached Delhi from Raipur this morning. 

While All India Congress Committee's Chhattisgarh Chairperson PL Punia, Chhattisgarh Supervisor Mallikarjun Kharge, Congress Legislative Party leader TS Sinhdev, reached Raipur later in the afternoon. 

After coming to Raipur, all the leaders participated in the meeting of the Congress Legislature Party in the press conference room of the Communication Department located in Rajiv Bhawan, Raipur, and the name of the new Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh was announced in this meeting.   PTI
