Malappuram, May 4: Two activists of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) were arrested on Friday in connection with the assault on a news photographer here.
Police said Vazhakkad Kallikkuthodi Shibu and Nadathilekkandi Dilip Kumar were arrested for allegedly attacking Chandrika Photographer Fuad Saneen (23) at Malappuram Press Club on Thursday.
The accused, apparently enraged over Fuad taking pictures of a protest demonstration by the RSS, barged into the club and attacked him.
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, holding Home Portfolio too, had directed the police to take stringent action against the culprits. UNI
