Ramnagar, May 14: A Deputation of VDC Members coming from far flung areas of Dudu Basantgarh and Ramnagar zone including Loudra, Panara, Khaned, Pachound, Dandi Chakaal, Sia-Merri, Chigla Balota, Chattrairi, Majouri, Keya and Joffer led by Mr. Shiv Dev Singh Provincial General Secretary of JKNPP met with SDPO and Tehsildar Ramnagar regarding regularization and hike in their salary.
They alleged that previously they got their salary jointly in a group comprising of seven members and salary released in the name of one head member of the group and he disbursed it among rest of the members of the group. But now for the last two years, the salary released in the name of head of the group and that head kept the entire amount of salary with him and do not bother to give it to other members of the group, which is a great injustice with them. As a result other VDC members of the group remain without salary and come at the verge of starvation. In this context, these deprived VDC members ran from pillar to post and approached the concerned authorities but no heed paid to their genuine request. They complained that despite providing security cover to the villagers, the govt. also utilize their services on different occasions like celebration of all national and state festivals, awareness camps of all nature, fair & Dangal in any corner of the village and above all facing militancy threats in odd situation. But in lieu of this they get only a meagre salary of Rs.800/- @Rs.30/- per day which is insufficient and inadequate as compared to their job requirement.
They demanded that either their salary be credited in their individual account or a certificate of disbursement be obtained from the head of the VDC group member duly signed by all of them. They further demanded that their wages should be enhanced up to Rs.3000/- Per Month in view of their tough and risky nature of job as some of the VDC members have even sacrificed their lives while fighting militants in prone and sensitive areas.
Among Others who participated, Shiv Ram Sharma, Pawan Dev Singh, Subash Chander, Kamal Singh, Baldev Chand, Sher Singh, Bodh Raj , Rattan Chand, Babu Ram, Krishan Chand, Ranjit Singh, Pawan Rassal, Kuldeep Kumar, Sant Ram, Madan Lal, Romesh Kumar, Om Raj, Darshan Kumar, Hans Raj, Tara Chand,Veer singh, Ajit Raj, Raj Kumar, Ram lal, Kuldeep Singh besides others.

New Delhi, May 14: An emergency meeting of the executive of the Indo-Palestine Friendship society and the members of the working committee of the National Panthers Party (NPP) was held in New Delhi, the capital of India on the aggressive message of the USA against the United Nations’ Resolutions carried by the Security Council from time to time directing the parties concerned to maintain the demographic composition of the Holy City of Jerusalem.
The urgent conference convened at New Delhi was presided over by Prof. Bhim Singh, Executive Chairman of the Indo-Palestine Friendship Society, Sr. Advocate in the Supreme Court of India and among the old associates of the PLO. Several advocates and political and social activists participated in the meeting to review effects of Israel’s provocative and anti-Palestine decision to establish US Embassy in Jerusalem against the letter and spirit of several resolutions passed in the past by the Security Council which stands for peaceful negotiation to determine the status of the Holy City of Jerusalem. It was United Nations which has stated and affirmed that:
“Any decisions and actions which purport to have altered the character, status or demographic composition of the Holy City of Jerusalem have no legal effect, are null and void and must be rescinded in compliance with relevant resolutions of the Security Council, and in this regard, calls upon all States to refrain from the establishment of diplomatic missions in the Holy City of Jerusalem, pursuant to Resolution 478 (1980) of the Security Council.” All relevant resolutions that include; 242 (1967), 338 (1973), 446 (1979), 452 (1979), 465 (1980), 476 (1980), 478 (1980), 1397 (2002), 1515 (2003), 1850 (2008), and 2334 (2016), needs to be studied because they shall provide a mirror if he happens to go through them today. So that USA changes its mind and withdraws its Embassy from Jerusalem.
Prof.Bhim Singh who wrote several books on the composite character of the State of Israel, described the decision of Mr. Donald Trump, the President of the United States of America as a threat to world peace and existence of the United Nations itself. It reminds, he said, how the League of Nations was banged by the draconian declaration of Hitler which led to the World War-II. NPP Supremo called President Trump to reconsider this draconian act, withdraw his so-called US Embassy from the Holy City of Jerusalem having regard to the holy land. This act against the Holy City shall not be accepted by his own countrymen except selected Zionists who have forgotten the deadliest history of how thousands of Jew families were destroyed by the act of mindless dictator at that time.
Prof. Bhim Singh appealed to all the progressive, peace-loving and secular people in the world to give their mind to Donald Trump so that he may be stopped from playing havoc with the world peace. His action against the Holy City of Jerusalem is undesirable, violative of UN Resolutions, against the letter and spirit of the concept of peace as it shall not be accepted even by the majority of Jews who understand the past and present history better than the President of United States of America, Mr. Donald Trump.
