SRINAGAR, JUNE 06: Secretary School Education, Farooq Ahmad Shah, today convened a meeting to review the progress of various educational projects under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) and Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA).
          The meeting was briefed in detail about different educational and developmental activities implemented under SSA and RMSA. The Secretary stressed on time bound completion of the vital projects and asked the officers to work with added zeal and in coordination to change the educational scenario of the State.
          He said the education sector is the most important and priority sector for developing and grooming the future generation of the State. He also asked the officers to ensure judicious, optimal use of the available resources in the said sector to provide the proper feasible academic atmosphere to the students.
          Director SSA Saugat Biswas , Director School Education Kashmir Dr Yatoo, Director RMSA Tufail Mattoo, Director Education Jammu Ravinder Singh , Principal SIE, Principal DIET Srinagar and state coordinators of various schemes under RMSA and SSA were present in the meeting.
          Earlier while inspecting the functioning of the State Institute of Education and DIET, the Secretary expressed need of renovation and upgradation of these institutions. He termed these institutions the most important and prestigious because of their role in imparting skill upgradable training to the nation builders (Teachers).
          He instructed the Principals of the said institutions to furnish detailed estimates for upgrading the infrastructure.
          Farooq Shah stressed the officials of the SIE and DIET to work in mission mode for making these institutions vibrant and hub of training and development to groom the quality human resource.
