Cement supply position for Ladakh reviewed

          SRINAGAR, JULY 06: The Additional Commissioner Kashmir today convened a meeting to review cement supply position for Ladakh region stressed upon the JK Cement Limited officers and concerned Transport agencies to ensure supply buffer stock of cement to Kargil and Leh districts so that people of the region are able to use cement in their construction work.

          MD JKSTRC, MD JK Cements, Assistant Executive Engineers of PWD from Kargil and Leh, Deputy Director Planning and other concerned attended the meeting.

         The Additional Commissioner Kashmir directed the Superintending Engineers of Kargil and Leh to take immediate steps for clearance of pending liabilities of JKSRTC and JK Cements Limited.

          He also asked the officials of the concerned departments to work in close coordination with each other so that the hassle free supply of cement is ensured to Leh and Kargil districts of the frontier Ladakh region.
