Patna, Aug 19 :  After four weeks of deserting grand alliance, JD (U) today formally joined NDA and passed a resolution to this effect at its national executive meeting here today. A proposal was placed in national executive meeting of JD (U) being held at 1, Anne Marg, the official residence of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, which was approved unanimously. It was also ratified at its national council meeting which was held soon after national executive meeting. Chief Minister had dumped grand alliance on July 26 and joined hands with BJP led NDA to form a new government. Even after formation of a new government, formal joining of JD (U) in NDA was awaited as such proposal was to be approved at its national executive meeting. During the recent visit of Chief Minister Mr Kumar to New Delhi, BJP president Amit Shah had formally invited JD (U) to NDA and he had accepted the invitation saying a proposal would be approved by the party at an appropriate forum. With decision of JD (U) to join NDA, the formalities have now been completed and there is possibility of JD (U) joining the NDA government at the Centre as well. UNI
