Begusarai,
Oct 18: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that his government would
extend all possible support for organising ‘Kumbh’ and “Ardh Kumbh” at Simaria
Dham in the district. After inaugurating ‘Tulark Kumbh’ at Simaria yesterday,
Mr Kumar told devotees that the state government would extend all possible
support for developing basic infrastructure at Simaria and also for organising
‘Kumbh’ and “Ardh Kumbh’. He appealed local people to ensure that devotees
visiting the place did not face any problem. Mr Kumar said ‘Ardh Kumbh” was
organised at Simaria Dham for the first time in 2011 but a lot of controversy
had taken place in the religious world as several people argued that ‘Kumbh’
could not be organised at Simaria Dham. The chief minister said that he had
asked the then Chief Secretary to make all possible arrangement at Simaria Dham
and ‘Ardha Kumbh’ was organised properly in 2011. Mr Kumar said it was a matter
of great pleasure that Kumbha was being organised after six years and people
were supporting it. He said Simaria Ghat was a confluence point of Mithila,
Magadh and Ang, adding that it was a wonderful place. UNI
