ANANTNAG, NOVEMBER 23: The Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Mohammad Younis Malik today made a visit of Khiram Dargah to review the arrangements made by the district administration for the celebration of Eid Milad un Nabi (S.A.W).
Later the DC chaired a meeting of the officers and members of Auqaf Committee Khiram Sirhama to finalize the arrangements for Milad.
The DC directed Exen PHE Division Bijbehara to ensure water supply availability round the clock and keep two water supply tankers available from tomorrow.
On the occasion, the AD FCS&CA informed the meeting that 9 sale depots of CAPD at Khiram Sirhama shall keep the additional stock of 1224 Quintals of rice, 61 Quintals of flour, 70 Quintals of sugar and 100 cylinders of cooking gas. DDC instructed the concerned department to keep 5 cooking gas cylinders available at the Ziyarat and 40 quintals of rice as buffer stock in addition to routine monthly supply.
Meanwhile, the DC instructed for installation of 40 street lights around the Ziyarat Shareef. Besides, he instructed the Exen PDD to ensure uninterrupted power supply during the Milad.
He also instructed the Deputy Director Fire & Emergency to be alert for any eventuality and install fire extinguishers in the Ziyarat Shareef, Meeting Hall and library.
The meeting was informed that special medical aid camp and ambulance service shall be made available in addition to the facilities available at PHC.
Regarding the cleanliness and sanitation, the Executive Officer Bijbehara was directed to mobilise the Safaiwalas in order to ensure sanitation around the dargah, besides, the lanes and drains.
