Attends closing ceremony of basic training course of BSG
JAMMU, NOVEMBER 21: Minister
for Industries and Commerce Chander Parkash Ganga today said that to build a
strong nation, sense of patriotism, character building and leadership qualities
must be developed among youth of the nation.
This was stated by the Minister during the closing ceremony of seven
days basic training course for Scouts & Guides being organized by J&K
State Bharat Scouts & Guides (JKSBSG) at Youth & Services Hostel Gandhi
Nagar, here today.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that Scouts & Guides
activities have pivotal role in promoting patriotism, brotherhood,
commandership and devotion towards serving the society.
Ganga lauded the role of Scouts & Guides and called for carrying
forward this noble movement in every nook and corner of the State besides
introducing it in educational institutes. He said that the Scouting is
contributing to the education of young people, through a value system to help
build a better world where people especially the youth are self-fulfilled as
individuals and playing a constructive role in society.
Responding to the demand of land for the construction of training centre
of J&K State Bharat Scouts & Guides, the Minister asked the concerned
authorities to identify the suitable land so that the process for the same
could be initiated.
State Commissioner JKSBSG I D Soni, Advisor JKSBSG Sakina Bano, Advisor
JKSBSG S K Jain, Joint State Commissioner Harbans Lal Dogra besides
representative of J&K Chapter of Bharat Scouts & Guides were also
present on the occasion.
Around 35 teachers and students from district Samba participated in the
training course.
