Beijing, Dec 9: India's ambassador to China Gautam Bambawale has met Foreign Minister Wang Yi ahead of his visit to New Delhi and talks with Indian officials.
The Indian Embassy has posted a picture of Mr Bambawale on Friday meeting Mr Wang, who will attend the Russia-India-China (RIC) foreign ministers' trilateral meeting in New Delhi on Monday.
Mr Wang will hold talks with Indian officials on the sidelines of the RIC meeting, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang said earlier this week. 
"According to our information, Wang will meet with the top officials of India," Geng Shuang said.
Mr Wang will be the first Chinese official to visit India after the Dokalam standoff that ended on August 28. The talks will be the first high-level dialogue after President Xi Jinping began his second term.
On December 5, Mr Bambawale had met President Xi .
On Dec 01, he had discussions with Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Kong Xuanyou. UNI
