JAMMU, JANUARY 23: Minister
for Rural Development & Panchayati Raj and Law & Justice Abdul Haq
today informed the House that 31 villages have been taken up under Swach Bharat
Mission Gramin (SBM) G in Devsar, Kund, Vessu and Qazikund blocks and a total
of Rs 126.24 lakh has been paid to the beneficiaries of these blocks under the
scheme during the year 2016-17.
Replying to a question by legislator Mohammad Amin Bhat, the Minister
said that SBM-G in Devsar, Kund, Vessu and Qazigund blocks an amount of Rs
45.72 lakh, Rs 18.36 lakh, Rs 26.28 lakh and Rs 35.88 respectively has been
paid to the beneficiaries during the period.
Giving further breakup of liability cleared and pending, the Minister
informed that there was a laiblity of Rs 428.69 in respect of Devsar block, out
of which Rs 344.69 lakh has been cleared, for Kund, Rs 118.95 lakh cleared out
of Rs 158.9 lakh, Rs 355.42 paid for Qazikund out of total liability of Rs
427.56 lakh and for Vessu block, Rs 457.21 lakh has been cleared out of total
liability of Rs 560.06 lakh.
The Minister further said that the department has released an amount of
Rs 1138 crore to the districts for clearance of wage/material liabilities in
the state, till date.
Responding to another part of the question, the Minister said that in
Panchayat Halqa of Devsar constituency, out of total 466 estimated works, 155
have been completed amounting to Rs.221.24 lakh.
The Minister further said in BDO office Devsar, 80 % staff is in
position and the remaining is required to be filled up by way of deputation
from Planning, Finance and Public Works departments for which the department
has taken up the matter of filling the vacant posts with concerned departments.
Legislators, M Y Tarigami, Yawar Mir and Ravinder Raina also raised
supplementary to the main question.
