New Delhi, Feb 16: Resolving the Cauvery water dispute, the Supreme Court on Friday awarded
additional 14 point 75 TMC ft to Karnataka and reduced allocation for Tamil Nadu
from 192 to 177.25 TMC ft water.
A three-judge bench comprising Chief Justice
Dipak Misra and Justices Amitava Roy and AM Khanwilkar directed the Karnataka
government to provide Tamil Nadu 177.25 TMC ft water every year.
Karnataka gets additional 14.75 tmc ft and the state will now get 284.75 tmc ft water.
There has been no change in allocation for Kerala and Puducherry. UNI
