Jammu, Mar 30: The omissions and commissions of the Congress governments in the state are well-known, alleged Dr Narinder Singh, State General Secretary BJP.
Dr. Narinder Singh, in a press statement blamed Congress party for the mayhem in the living of those deserved attention. He said that the Congress has prospered on the cost of the poor. He said that in the grab of Roshni Act, Congress snatched the rights of Pak Occupied Jammu-Kashmir refugees who settled outside J&K thus changing the demography of the region.
Dr. Singh further said that the failure of the Congress party on the development front is a historical fact and well established fact. The condition of roads and other amenities were in shambles during the Congress rule in the state. “Facts and figures speak for themselves. The falsehood and rhetoric of Congress leaders can not fool the intelligence of the citizens”, he added.
Dr Singh castigated Congress leadership in the state for abetting the militancy, poor governance and development and corruption. The Congress leaders are known for raising unauthorized construction, encroachments and abetting land mafia. State leadership of Congress is desperate to make itself relevant but is feeling short of issues, said BJP general secretary.
Dr. Singh said that the BJP has led the development work in infrastructure, education sector, and elsewhere. Regularization of one lakh daily paid workers is testimony to this fact. Under the BJP-PDP government Jammu and Kashmir became one of the fastest expanding State economies recording double digit growth of 11.61 per cent, per capita income rose by more than 14 per cent at constant 2011-12 prices, while the rise at the national level was only 6.8 per cent, said Dr. Singh.
