Bengaluru, Mar 27: A faux pas by BJP National President Amit Shah during his press conference at Davanagere in Karnataka is going viral in the social media.
In the video clipping, Mr Shah is found saying that the Government headed by BJP Karnataka President B S Yeddyurappa was the 'most corrupt' one and this embarassed the state party leadership with former President Prahlad Joshi in an agitated expression correcting the Party President.
“Recently, a retired Supreme Court Judge said if there was ever a competition of the most corrupt government, then the Yeddyurappa government is number one...” said Mr Shah, inadvertently, while addressing the press conference.
Realising his gaffe and after Mr Joshi pointed out, Mr Shah corrected himself and said: ”Arre re...Siddaramaiah government is number one in corruption.”
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah then tweeted, saying that the BJP president had spoken the ‘truth.’ He wrote: “The #ShahOfLies finally speaks truth. Thank you @AmitShah.”
Congress Party Social Media network head Ramya in a tweet thanked Mr Shah for coming out with the truth. UNI
