Mumbai, Mar 9: The BSE sensex rose on Friday by 52.57 points to to 33,404.14 on sustained buying by domestic institutional investors amid a firm trend at other Asian bourses.
Brisk buying was seen in Sectoral Indicies such as IT, Auto, Consumer durables, Oil and Gas and Teck, Amid postive cues from Asian peers.
Nifty of National Stocks Exchange (NSE) too advanced by 25.95 points to 10,268.20.
The sensex registered intra day high and low at 33,519.49 and 33,316.58 respectvely.
The Nifty recorded intra day high and low at 10,296.70 and 10,230.55 respectively. 
The sectoral such as FMCG, Healthcare, IT, Auto, Capital goods, Consumer durables and Teck helped sensex to gain further. 
The gainers were HDFC by 1.25 pc To Rs 1820.00, Heromotoco by 1.06 pc to Rs 3623.75, M & M by 0.91 toRs 733.90, Bharti Airtel by 0.85 pc to Rs 404.60 and DR Reddylabs by 0.80 pc to Rs 2162.70.
The losers were SBIN by 1.73 pc to Rsa 252.30, Tata steeel by 1.65 pc to Rs 624.70, Adani Ports by 1.60 pc to Rs 382.40,Yes Bank by 0.91 pc to Rs 305.oo and NTPC by 0.73 pc to Rs 164.10. UNI
