New Delhi, Apr 16: Commenting on acquittal of all accused in Mecca Masjid blast case, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday said the probe agency will study the judgment before deciding the future course of action.
''We will examine the court judgment after we get a copy of the same and decide further course of action,'' a top official of the probe agency said.
A blast had occurred in historic Mecca Masjid in Hyderabad in Friday prayer meeting, leaving nine dead and 58 injured on May 18, 2007.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) took over the case from the local police and filed charge sheet in 2011.
Subsequently, the NIA took over the case from the CBI in 2011.
Ten people allegedly belonging to right-wing organisations were named as accused in the case. However, only five of them -- Devendra Gupta, Lokesh Sharma, Swami Aseemanand alias Naba Kumar Sarkar, Bharat Mohanlal Rateshwar alias Bharat Bhai and Rajendra Chowdhary -- were arrested and faced trial in the case.
