Kolkata, Apr 14: The Kathua rape and murder found an echo in Kolkata when some renowned musicians jammed in Park Street at midnight last night in protest.
The event was the release of the album of the film 'Aami Ashbo Phirey'. SVF, along with Wow Momo organised the never-experienced before midnight jam in the heart of Park Street where singer-actor Anjan Dutt, his musician son Neel and famed guitarist Amyt Datta performed live. 
Anjan Dutt spoke about the 'terrible situation in our country' following the Asifa incident that has shaken the nation. A minute's silence followed his speech. 
Initially, the concert was supposed to comprise seven songs from the album but instead the trio chose to dedicate 3 songs to Asifa and her family. 
'Aami Ashbo Phirey', released on April 13, is a film about seven lives dealing with emotions through as many songs written by Anjan Dutt and composed by Neel Dutt. The main base of the film is about the rape of a young girl, something that needs to be highlighted and spoken about now more than ever. 
'Aami Ashbo Phirey Music Tour' is creating waves among music lovers and romantics of the city. It also stars Anjan Dutt himself along with Swastika Mukherjee, Anjana Basu, Darshana Banik, Koushik Sen, Anindya Chatterjee, Sauraseni and others. UNI
