JULY 02: Regional Director (RD) Survey & Land
Records (Ex-Officio Settlement Officer) Chenab Valley Doda, Mohammad Hanief
Malik launched the scanning process of the revenue records under
Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP), here today.
ACR
Ramban VevaikPuri, Tehsildar Ramban, Parmod Kumar, Naib Tehsildars and
other officials of revenue department were also present
on the occasion.
Director informed
about the aim of the programme to computerise all
land records, digitise maps, up-grade the survey and settlement records. He
highlighted the importance of digitization of the revenue
records for bringing in transparency and clarity in the title of the land
holders and minimizing the land disputes and litigations.
The
biggest achievement after completion of this project would be that
the public will be able to have an access to revenue record in a
hassle-free manner, he added.
He
said that in first phase scanning of land records of Ramban tehsil has been
taken up and same process for other tehsil will start soon.
Regional Director also directed to the technical
staff of Ramtech Software Solution Pvt. Ltd engaged on the job as well as
concerned officers, officials of data providing team to ensure page
numbering and arranging in sequence all the old record lying in each
tehsil for its scanning.
