JAMMU, APRIL 26: Several
deputations today met the Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti here and brought many
of their issues into her notice and sought their redressal.
A
deputation of Gujjar community led by former Vice Chancellor, Masud Choudhary
demanded setting up of a Tribal Research Centre at Jammu and adoption of a
proper rehabilitation policy for nomadic community.
Another
deputation from Doda demanded construction of protection bunds at various
places in the district which were washed away during floods last time. They
also sought development of a park in the centre of the Doda town and
availability of an ambulance at Paranu Health Sub Centre.
A
deputation of contractors also met the Chief Minister and sought redressal of
their issues.
The Chief
Minister listened to the demands of the deputations patiently and assured them
that the same would be properly looked into.
