GANDERBAL, APRIL 26: Director, Rural Development
Department Kashmir, Gazanffer Ali, today convened a meeting of officers of the
Department from the Srinagar and Ganderbal districts to review the status of
ongoing developmental schemes in the districts.
Assistant Commissioner
Development, Srinagar and Ganderbal, Chief Planning Officers, Ganderbal and
Srinagar, all Block Development Officers, Assistant Executive Engineers and
other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
The Assistant Commissioner
Development, Srinagar and Ganderbal, while giving a breakup of achievements
realized during the FY 2016-17, informed the
meeting that under MGNREGA an amount
of Rs. 2133.14 lac have been utilized on 2496
number of works in the Ganderbal district,
generating some 8.38 lac person-days of employment.
Whereas an amount of Rs 83.97 lakh have
been utilized on 247 number of units, out of
which 168 units have been
finalized, under the IAY scheme in the district.
With regard other schemes, like 13th FC, CD Panchayats and Non
Plan, in the district, some 51 number of woks have been completed with an
expenditure of Rs. 82.531 lac.
In respect of the Srinagar
district, it was given out that during the FY 2016-17 some 233
number of works have been completed under MGNREGA with an expenditure of Rs.268.01
lac, generating some 0.582 lac person-days
of employment, whereas 22 number of units have been
completed with an expenditure of Rs. 4.55 lacs under the
IAY scheme.
The Director directed for preparation of Action Plan for FY 2017-18 by
way of conducting Gram Sabhas in both the districts with due consultations with
the concerned MLAs.He impressed upon the
officers to work with total dedication to achieve project targets in time.
