DODA, APRIL 27: Tehsil Legal Service Committee Doda organized a Lok-Adalat pertaining to pre-litigation civil MISC and electricity rent cases of PDD department, here today.
The Lok Adalat was held under the chairmanship O.P.Thakur Chairman Tehsil Legal Services Committee (CJM Doda) and assisted by Arun Kotwal Additional Special Mobile Magistrate Doda.
In the said Lok Adalat cases 46 cases pertaining to electricity and other matters were taken up, out of which 25 cases were settled. An award of Rs. 115800 was passed out of which Rs 62,800 was recovered on the spot.
In the Lok Adalat large number of litigants, advocates, social workers, journalists and representatives of the concerned departments participated.
People and litigants were informed that in cases they are interested in settlement of their cases, they can approach the court at District Headquarters Doda for listing their cases in the next Lok Adalat.
