SRINAGAR, APRIL 27: A review meeting of Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) was held today to assess physical and financial status of ongoing works under AMRUT projects during which emphasis was laid on capacity building of the Corporation.
The meeting called for speedy implementation of e-governance initiatives to bring greater transparency and accountability in the SMC. The participants said that the Corporation will take measures to enhance its capacity building and revenue generation, besides strive to create more assets in the City.
During the meeting, establishing a hassle-free citizen service centre and strong grievance redressal mechanism for effective disposal of complaints in a time-bound manner was discussed in detail.
