JAMMU, APRIL 26: Minister for Revenue, Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation
and Reconstruction, Abdul Rehman Veeri today reviewed the functioning of Relief
Organization here at a high level meeting.
The meeting was attended by
Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner (M) Jammu Y P Suman, D C Relief Shubra
Sharma, ACRs Sudershan, Kamla, Ashima Sher and
zonal officers of various camps.
The Minister asked the
officers to keep all the basic facilities available in the camps which include
timely ration, drinking water and adequate facilities for the education of
school children.
Laying stress on adequate
healthcare, he asked the concerned officers to make available sufficient stocks
of medicines and all diagnostic equipments in the health institutions
established for the camp dwellers.
While
receiving an appraisal regarding the bifurcation of ration cards of migrant
families, the Minister directed simplifying the process and ensuring time bound
disposal of these cases after proper verification.
The Minister also impressed
upon the officers to upgrade the system of their offices by adopting e-mode and
computerization so that people are facilitated in a better manner. He asked the
officers to work with zeal for the benefit of the needy people.
