SRINAGAR,
MAY 10: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations
(J&K BOPEE) on Wednesday conducted Polytechnic Entrance
Test (PET) in various centres at Jammu and Srinagar.
In a
statement issued today, BOPEE said a total of 8175 candidates had registered
for the entrance test, out of which 6759 candidates appeared while 1416
candidates remained absent.
BOPEE
spokesperson said the entrance test was monitored by members of monitoring
squad in eight centres at Srinagar and three centers at Jammu and was conducted
in a smooth manner.
During the
test Controller of Examinations, Banwarilal Gupta, Secretary BOPEE, Khurshid
Ahmad Shah, and Deputy Secretary (Law) PL Sharma visited various centres at
Srinagar for on-spot inspection and arrangements made therein.
The BOPEE
thanked all the principals of colleges and schools of Jammu and Srinagar for
successfully conducting the said Entrance Test and expressed their gratitude
for providing the necessary infrastructure and staff in making the Test hassle
free and smoothly.
