SAMBA, MAY 23: Additional Deputy Commissioner,
Tilak Raj Sharma, today chaired a meeting to review implementation of ban on
polythene use in the district.
The ADC asked the police officials, BDO’s and
Executive Officers of Municipal Committees to take stern action as per the law
against violators.
He stressed on active partaking and better synergy among all
stakeholders to contain use of polythene which is hazardous for the
environment and health of humans and animals.
The members from Chichi Mata Temple Committee, Rehri Union and other
religious institutions assured their support to make this drive a big success.
The meeting was attended by civil and police officials and members from
Rehri union, Beopar Mandal and other stakeholders.
