HANDWARA, MAY 26: The
Additional Deputy Commissioner today convened a meeting of officers, trade
union leaders and senior citizens to review the Ramadan arrangements here.
It was informed that special market checking teams have been constituted
to check prices of essential commodities so that black marketing, hoarding, and
profiteering can be curbed. Shopkeepers were asked to display price list in
their shops.
The ADC directed Municipal Committee officers to ensure proper
sanitation in and around the mosques and shrines. PHE and PDD authorities were
asked to provide uninterrupted water and electricity supply to the people
during the holy month.
