SRINAGAR,
MAY 02: Minister of State for Power Development, Syed Farooq Ahmad Andrabi,
today chaired a meeting here to review functioning of the Power Development
Department (PDD).
Development Commissioner Power, Chief Engineer (EM & RE), Chief Engineer
(Projects), Superintendent Engineers, Executive Engineers, and other concerned
attended the meeting.
During
the meeting, the Minister was briefed about progress of ongoing works under
centrally sponsored schemes including PMA, RAPDRP-B, DDUGJY and IPDS.
On the
occasion, the Minister directed representatives of private companies associated
with the construction of various power projects in the State, to complete all the ongoing
works in time so that target of 24X7 power supply is realized at the earliest.
He
stressed on coordination among the executing agencies so that all the
developmental projects are executed in a hassle-free manner.
The
Minister said that PDD has shown a lot of improvement under the supervision of
Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and added that the State Government has started
many projects to improve the power scenario in the State.
