UDHAMPUR, MAY 25: An awareness camp-cum-symposium competition on 'Save the Girl Child' was today organized by “Jan Sangharsh organization in collaboration with Tehsil Legal Services Committee (TLSC) at Government High School Samroli.
Additional Deputy
Commissioner, Avny Lavasa was the chief guest on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the ADC
stressed upon the common masses to educate their girl child. She said that the
need of the hour is to stop discrimination against girl child and provide her
equal opportunities viz-a-viz boys.
The Chairman Jan
Sangharsh Sanjeet Bavouria also spoke on the occasion. Headmaster, Bibya Devi presented vote
of thanks and appreciated the efforts of NGO Jan Sangharsh
and Tehsil Legal Service Committee in organizing such awareness programmes.
Among others, Dy.
Chief Warden Civil Defence, Advocate Swatantar Dev Kotwal and large number of
school children attended the programme.
