SRINAGAR, MAY 30: An introductory meeting of the
Committee on Subordinate Legislation of Legislative Assembly was held under the
Chairmanship of Legislator Bashir Ahmed Dar here today.
The members of the Committee including legislators Mubarak Gul, Aijaz
Ahmed Khan, Mushtaq Ahmed Shah, Dr Krishan Lal and Abdul Rahim Rather attended
the meeting and gave their valuable suggestions to make the Committee fruitful
and result oriented.
Threadbare discussions were held on rules, bi-rules and regulations of
existing laws in various Government Departments.
The Committee directed the senior officers of Assembly Secretariat to
call officials of Power Development Department in its next meeting alongwith a
detailed report of rules, bi-rules and regulation of the department so that
various audit paras could be examined accordingly.
The Committee further asked the Assembly Secretariat to furnish relevant
reply of the agenda points of the meetings to the members of the Committee well
before its next meeting.
Among others, Special Secretary, Legislative Assembly, M R Singh,
Additional Secretary, Legislative Assembly, Naseema Jan and other officers and
officials of Assembly Secretariat were also present in the meeting.
