BARAMULLA, MAY 25: Deputy Commissioner
Baramulla, Dr. Nasir Ahmad Naqash, today chaired a meeting with various
officers of the district administration and finalized arrangements for upcoming
holy month of Ramadan.
Issues related to
power supply, water supply, regulation of rates of essential items, town
sanitation, traffic management, functioning of street lights, health facilities
and other arrangements were discussed in detail during the meeting.
The DC emphasized on
utilizing the occasion for a long-term and permanent improvement in facilities
like essentials supply, cleanliness and sanitation, healthcare, and other civic
amenities.
Officials of PDD
briefed the meeting about curtailment schedule while FCS&CA officials
informed about ration supply and regulation of rates of essential items. It was
said that a team of veterinarians will also inspect the livestock slaughtered
for consumption which will be a regular practice. Municipal Committee was asked
to install waste bins and ensure proper disposal of garbage and maintaining
sanitation.
SE and Executive Engineer EM&RE
and STD, Executive Engineer Electrical Division Baramulla, Executive Engineer,
PHE, Assistant Controller legal metrology, Tehsildars, Headquarter, AD
FCS&CA and various other officers from different department were present in
the Meeting.
