UDHAMPUR, MAY 13:
Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Niraj Kumar today held a Public Grievance
Redressal Camp at Panchari and took stock of the problems and demands of the
people.

Khajuria, ACD OM Prakash, CEO Bishan Singh, CMO Dr. K.C. Dogra, DPO Sandeep Seintra,
DFO Terriorial Jugal Kishore, DFO Social Forestry Dr. Rajan Singh, ARTO Rajesh
Gupta, AD FCS &CA Haroon Naik and other District and block level officers
were also present on the occasion.
People
demanded improvement in health facilities and road network, posting of adequate
teachers and medical staff, establishment of a Degree College at Panchari
besides developing requisite infrastructure for promoting the area as an
important tourist destination etc. They also demanded ban on sale of liquor in
the area.
Speaking
on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner assured the people that all their
genuine demands will be looked into on priority and said that administration is
putting in concerted efforts to develop the area as important tourist
destination. He informed that DPR of various roads of the area have been
prepared and the process of the construction of roads would be initiated very
soon.
He
said that
he has already taken up the matter of shortage of teachers in the schools with
the concerned authorities and the issue would be resolved at an earliest.
DDC
also said that action will be taken against illegal sale of liquor in the area.
He also sought the cooperation of
people in fight against the menace of drugs.
People
from adjoining panchayats including a large number of women and prominent
citizens attended the public grievances redressal camp.
