SRINAGAR, MAY 26: Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr. Farooq Ahmad Lone, today convened a meeting to review the status of revenue records of the Srinagar district.
          The meeting reviewed progress of writing of Jamabandies, Girdwaries, attestation of pending mutations, Amaldaramad, Goshwara Jiniswara for Rabi 2017 as per prescribed format, besides distribution of pass books, Recovery position of Revenue targets, Removal of encroachments from Kahchari Land, Revenue Court cases and attestation of mutations of land acquired by various Departments was also discussed in detail.
          It was given out that out of 31 Jamabandies as many as 25 Jamabandies have been completed this year, till date. Further, out of 121 Girdwaries writing of 80 has been completed and 46 are under process which shall be completed by June 15.
          The Deputy Commissioner directed the Revenue Officers to ensure redressal of public grievances, besides completion of all pending mutations and completion of writing of Jamabandies & Girdwaries.
          He also assured the Patwari Association that their genuine demands will be looked into for early redressal. He further directed the field agencies to tour their respective areas of jurisdiction for redressal of the genuine grievance of the general public with regard to revenue related matters.

          The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioners, Assistant Commissioner (Rev), Sub-Divisional Magistrate East/West, Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars, Girdwars, and Patwaries of the district.
