SRINAGAR, MAY 24: Director, Handloom Development
Department, Rajesh Sharma today inaugurated three block level cluster projects
at Safa Kadal, Anchar and Illahi Bagh.
The projects falling under National Handloom Development Program (NHDP)
are sanctioned by Union Textiles Ministry.
Interacting with the weavers, the director said that skill upgradation
for weaving, designing and dyeing would be available under these cluster
projects. He further said that new looms are under technical upgradation,
adding other benefits would also be extended to weavers.
The director stressed upon executing agencies to work with zeal so that
real benefit of the projects will percolate to the rightful beneficiaries.
