Director Tourism Kashmir meets Governor

SRINAGAR, MAY 24: Sh. Mahmood Ahmad Shah, Director Tourism Kashmir, called on Governor N. N. Vohra, at the Raj Bhavan here today.

          Sh. Shah briefed the Governor about the various initiatives being taken by his Department for the promotion of tourism in the Kashmir region.

Pointing to the importance of ensuring that the growth of the tourism sector receives sustained high attention, Governor advised Sh. Shah to launch well planned initiatives to promote winter tourism and, side by side, implement efforts to thoroughly clean up the major tourist visitation areas, improve the aesthetics and the street picture through façade control of the shopping and other areas visited by most of the tourists.
