SRINAGAR, MAY 26: An eco-tour and nature walk was organized by
Department of Ecology, Environment & Remote Sensing, for students to raise
awareness about environmental issues.
The program was held in collaboration with the Department of
Environmental Science, Government Degree College, Bemina, during which the
students along with teachers toured Dachigam National Park.
During the tour, participants were made aware about the importance of
Biodiversity and Wildlife by the experts. They also shared their views on the
theme ‘Connecting People to the Nature’. A power point presentation depicting
wildlife species of Ladakh, Kashmir and Jammu regions was also displayed for
the students.
The experts stressed on taking immediate collective measures for
protection and conservation of Wildlife and Biodiversity as the survival of
humans is directly or indirectly dependent on it.
