Mubarak Gul chairs Estimates Committee meeting

SRINAGAR, MAY 31: A meeting of the Committee on Estimates of Legislative Assembly was held here today under the chairmanship of legislator Mubarak Gul.

Gul chaired meeting on behalf of legislator Mohammad Ashraf Mir to discuss the overall functioning of the Committee.

Legislators, Choudhary Sukhnandan Kumar, Altaf Ahmed Wani and R S Pathania attended the meeting and gave their suggestions to make the Committee more purposeful and result oriented.

The Committee asked the Assembly Secretariat to provide status report in respect of the recommendations, observations and directions made by the previous Committee in their report furnished by the different Departments so that they could examine what action has been taken by the concerned Departments.

Further, the Committee members asked the senior officers of Assembly Secretariat to call officials of the Power Works Department in its next meeting alongwith relevant reply and submit it to the Committee as early as possible.

Special Secretary Legislative Assembly, M R Singh, Deputy Secretary Legislative Assembly Abdul Qayoom Mir and other senior officers of Assembly Secretariat were also present in the meeting.
