PAC for vibrant, result oriented working Committee

SRINAGAR, MAY 29: An introductory meeting of the Committee on Public Accounts (PAC) of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly was held under the Chairmanship of MLA, Mohammad Akbar Lone here today.

          Member of the Committee including, Mohammad Yousuf Bhat, Abdul Rashid Dar, Mushtaq Ahmed Shah and Ravinder Raina attended the meeting and gave their suggestions to make the Committee more vibrant and result oriented.

Threadbare discussions were held upon the working of the Committee besides departmental audit raised by the Comptroller Audit General (CAG) from time to time regarding the working of the government departments.

The Committee also discussed the strategy of its next meetings and decided that the Committee will issue monthly basis schedules of its meetings so that all the departments will submit its reply properly.

Special Secretary, Legislative Assembly, M R Singh apprised the Committee about the working and other aspects of the Committee. He assured the Committee that the Assembly Secretariat to give full cooperation to the Committee.

The Committee unanimously decided that the Health Department to be called in its next meeting. The Committee directed the officers of Assembly Secretariat to collect the reply from the concerned department timely and furnish to the Chairman and members of the Committee so they could be prepare for the next meeting.
