Poppy destroyed in Pulwama Baramulla, Budgam

       

SRINAGAR, MAY 16: According to the Deputy Excise Commissioner, Executive Kashmir, the Excise teams during its anti-poppy drive destroyed poppy in Pulwama, Baramulla and Budgam districts

          The team destroyed 10 kanals of poppy in village Gulshanabad of Tehsil Rajpora of District Pulwama.

          The other team headed by Excise and Taxation Officer, North Kashmir has destroyed 305 kannals of poppy in village of Bespow, Chekspath, Taint, Hari Hund and Chahal  of Tehsil Pattan of district Baramulla and third team headed by Excise and Taxation Officer, centre Kashmir has destroyed 45 kannals of poppy in village Babapora of Tehsil Khan Sahab of district Budgam

          The Deputy Excise Commissioner said that, so far, a total of 480 kanals of poppy have been destroyed in Kashmir valley by the Excise Department.
