Jammu listens to public issues, assures early remedial
JAMMU,
MAY 13 - To listen and solve public grievances, District
Development Commissioner Jammu, Kumar Rajeev Ranjan, today convened a public
grievances redressal camp here at Bishnah.
The people from across
Bishnah and Arnia Tehsils put forth their demands which mainly related to
upgrading of power and water supply, adequate staff in Government schools,
enrolment of Aadhaar card, ration card, medicare facilities and updating of
voter lists.
The
DDC while interacting with the people directed the concerned officers to make
all out efforts to mitigate the sufferings of the people.
He stressed for close
coordination and synergy among various departments so that the genuine demands
of the people are redressed in a stipulated time frame. He also directed the
concerned departments to furnish details of requirements for upgrading the
public infrastructure, where ever need is felt.
Describing public
participation essential for better development, the DDC asked the people to
coordinate with administration and personally monitor the development works
being executed in their respective areas.
Among others present
were Chief Planning Officer, Jammu, SDM South, Tehsildars, BDOs besides
officers of major departments including SDAO, HDO, Engineers of R&B, PWD,
PDD, PHE, RDD.
