SBM reviewed at Pulwama

          PULWAMA, MAY 12: To review the functioning and performance of different functionaries of Saakshar Bharat Mission (SBM), a meeting was held today at District Institute of Education and Trainings (DIET) Pulwama.

          The meeting was presided over by the Principal DIET Pulwama who is also the Member Secretary SBM ZLSS Pulwama. Nodal Officer SBM Pulwama, Zonal Education Officers from Tahab, Kakapora, Pampore, Shadimarg and Tral zones were also present besides all SBM incharges at BLSS level, all DLCs/BLCs attended the meeting. 

          Principal DIET Pulwama appreciated the efforts of all functionaries at District, Block and Panchayat level towards bringing a great transformation in the functioning of the Program since last one year.

          The meeting was told that a total number of around 50000 learners were covered under the Literacy program in Learners Assessment Test held in December 2016 and March 2017.

          The Principal also cautioned the functionaries of the ill effects of complacency, and impressed upon all to further explore their potential towards achievement of noble goal of making a literate society. He also admired and expressed gratitude for the support and cooperation given by DDC Pulwama who is also the Chairman ZLSS Pulwama and Chief Planning Officer Pulwama.

          Later, the Nodal Officer SBM Pulwama presented the modus of future operation of the Mission, besides gave a detailed account of launch of online registration cum enrolment drive of prospective learners in the district.
