Pays surprise visit to clerical halls at civil secretariat
SRINAGAR, MAY 22: With an aim to bring synergy into
administration, Secretary Tourism and School Education, Farooq Ahmad Shah today
ordered officials at clerical halls of Tourism and School Education Departments
at Civil Secretariat to provide hassle-free disposal of files, failing which
can invite action under rules.
The Secretary surprise checked the clerical halls of both Departments and
advised the officials to avoid unnecessary delays in disposal of different
files related to the said departments. He instructed the officials to avoid
these unnecessary delays which result in suffering of the teacher community and
other employees who had to visit the secretariat from far flung areas for
redressal of their problems and grievances. He has been receiving complaints of
frequent delays in file work particularly in Education Department.
Later, Shah issued on spot orders to maintain the movement registers for
employees in the clerical hall so that they should utilize maximum time for
official activities. He also instructed the secretariat officials to dispose
all the files within shortest time period and any further delays can invite
action under rules. Later the Secretary also surprise checked the tourism
clerical hall and issued the same instructions for the employees of tourism
also working in the secretariat.
