UDHAMPUR, MAY 12: District Development
Commissioner Udhampur Niraj Kumar today convened a meeting to discuss and
review the activities scheduled for ongoing Swachhta week.
The meeting was attended, by PO ICDS
Rakesh Badyal, Assistant Commissioner Development Om Parkash, CEO Bishan Singh,
CMO Dr. K.C Dogra, CEO MC Udhampur Santosh Kotwal, DPO Sandeep Seointra, Dy SP
HQ S.S Billoria besides BDOs were present on the occasion.
The
Deputy Commissioner directed District Panchayat Officer and CEO MC to organize
a rally to generate awareness regarding cleanliness among the masses. The MC
was further asked to deploy a vehicle for carrying polythene bags. Officer in
charge of PCB was asked to safely dispose of the polythene seized so far.
The DC further directed ACD Udhampur to frame micro level teams at
village and panchayat levels to generate awareness among the people about
health, hygiene and hazards of polythene.
The DC also asked Chief Education Officer to prepare a calendar of
activities for schools. Besides, PO ICDS was asked to involve CDPOs for
organizing cleanliness drive at each Anganwadi Center.
